दरारों के पार
(Beyond the Cracks- Hindi)
Beyond the Cracks
(English translation)
The cracks in my cup remind me...
...that each one is a moment lived, a day that passed,
sometimes boiling like hot tea,
sometimes soaking in a quiet, cold silence.
Isn’t life just the same-
used every day,
never really tired,
no matter how many cracks it carries within.
No one asks how many times it broke,
how many times it gathered itself,
how many times it washed away its yesterdays
just to show up again,
smiling, or simply still standing.
The warmth of time, the heat of circumstances,
the damp, dripping evenings of fading bonds,
they all left something behind,
and all of it now lives quietly within those lines,
without a sound, without complaint.
Now, it seems,
a crack isn’t a sign of breaking,
but a testament to being alive.
Every scar softly whispers:
"I’m still here.
Broken, but I didn’t stop.
Worn, but I didn’t fade.”
Maybe life is just an old cup,
in which morning tea doesn’t brew by chance,
its taste comes only through the path
the cracks have carved.
